It’s been quite a while since I have featured an Artist of The Week so let’s get started! I first discovered Eldenwa Designs during Afro Punk Fest 2012 when I had first moved to New York City, and let me tell you she has set the bar extremely high for independent designers up North. Her tent was sitting barely off of the edge on a row of booths filled with eco friendly watches, custom tee-shirts and an array ten dollar fedoras. I had a good time scanning through those other booths, but none at the entire festival compared to Ellen’s pieces. Particularly these eclectic handmade bow ties. The display brought be back to my days in Richmond when I would window shop at need supply, but there was definitely no need for that here. Her prices are extremely affordable! The bow ties pictured below are only $20.00! Definitely a steal for such a unique piece.
